Summer School 2026

 

MHS Summer School registration is now open, and this year we'll offer credit recovery in math, credit experiences for English, science, social studies, and civics, and 8.5 (for incoming Mavs). 

Dates: Monday thru Thursday, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM 

  • Session #1: 6/22- 7/01 *no school Thursday, July 2 (observed for the 4th of July)     

  • Session #2: 7/06-7/16

NOTE: Transportation provided in AM ONLY

Credit Recovery: Students can earn 0.5 credit per session. If attending both sessions, they can earn 1.0 credit. Attendance is mandatory. Credit recovery offers classroom experiences, including content credit offerings for students who have received N grades and are credit deficient. Enrollment is not automatic. 11th and 12th graders, as well as students with the greatest need, will be given priority. 

8.5 Program: 8.5 is designed for incoming Freshmen who could benefit from an intervention-based summer program. It focuses specifically on skill development, study skills, high school readiness, with a mix of fun and community-building. Online tools such as Lexia and ALEKS will be used to develop skills in reading and math. This program is by invite only. High school staff will work with middle schools to get recommendations. 

 

Registration

  • Credit Recovery: Click here to complete the interest form. 

  • 8.5: Reach out to your student's middle school counselor OR email the summer school coordinator, Katie Noah, to see if your student qualifies: MHS-Summer-School@beaverton.k12.or.us

Cost: Free w/transportation provided for those that qualify. NO breakfast or lunch will be provided. 

Attendance Policy: All classes are held Monday - Thursday, and attendance is mandatory. Not attending will result in a student being dropped from summer school with no credit granted. Please plan accordingly. 

NOTE: Once you register for Credit Recovery, counselors will review transcripts to make sure that your student is in the correct class. Then, confirmation of enrollment will be sent out. We're trying to get all students enrolled by May 22, so please don't delay filling out the registration form! For 8.5, once your student is deemed a good fit for the program, they will be enrolled, and a notification will be sent. The same May 22 deadline applies.
